Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for Suture

Thank you for using Suture ("the App"). This document outlines our commitment to your privacy and the terms you agree to when using the App.

Privacy Policy

  1. Account Registration. To access certain features of the App—such as syncing official materials and participating in the 1v1 Quiz Arena—you must register for an account. Registration does not require an email address; you choose a username and set a password, and we store these credentials to authenticate your identity, manage your account, and host your online gameplay profile. We do not sell or rent your account information to third parties.
  2. Officially Provided Content. All questions (MCQs) and notes available in the App are officially curated and provided by us. Users can no longer create, upload, or store their own custom questions, notes, or tags.
  3. Cloud-Synced Study Progress. Once you sign in, your study and review activity—including which questions you've answered, your correctness history, and spaced-repetition scheduling data—is synced to and stored on our servers so it is available across your devices. The App also communicates with our servers to download official quiz questions and notes, and to synchronize real-time multiplayer states.
  4. Real-Time Multiplayer Data (1v1 Quiz Arena). When you use the 1v1 Quiz Arena feature, the App transmits live gameplay inputs, including your speed, score updates, and answers, to facilitate real-time matches with your opponent. We store match records (such as game lobby IDs, final scores, and the winner's user ID) on our servers to maintain matchmaking integrity and user stats.
  5. Third-Party Services. We use Supabase as our backend-as-a-service provider to handle secure authentication, database storage, and real-time matchmaking communication. Your credentials, study progress, and online gameplay statistics are stored securely on Supabase servers in compliance with their privacy and security protocols.
  6. No Ads or Trackers. The App is free of advertisements and third-party advertising trackers. We do not track your activity outside of the App.
  7. Educational Content Disclaimer. The App provides questions and notes for educational purposes only. It is not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult qualified medical professionals for any health-related decisions.

Terms of Service

  1. User Accounts. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  2. Officially Provided Content. All questions and notes in the App are provided and owned by us and are licensed to you for personal, educational use only. You may not copy, redistribute, or republish this content outside the App.
  3. Your Study Progress. Because your study progress is synced to your account, it will be available if you reinstall the App or switch devices, as long as you remain signed in to the same account. If you delete your account, this progress data is also deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
  4. Code of Conduct (1v1 Quiz Arena). By using the 1v1 Quiz Arena, you agree not to engage in any form of cheating, hacking, script injection, or client-side score manipulation. You must not send artificial or spoofed requests to the matchmaking server or disrupt the experience of other players. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this code of conduct.
  5. Disclaimer of Warranty. The App and its online services (including matchmaking, live synchronization, and account features) are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the online features will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or meet all your needs.
  6. Limitation of Liability. In no event shall the developer be liable for any damages (including data loss, server downtime, matchmaking service degradation, or study interruptions) arising from the use of or inability to use the App or its servers. The App is for educational purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.
  7. Changes to These Terms. We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
